2017 Pinot Noir

2017 Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir

Grown by us (Tim) from our little 5.5acre patch of dirt (granite, mostly) in Macedon Ranges (Baynton East, south of Heathcote).

For some unknown reason, there's only 18 small rows of Pinot Noir in the vineyard. So full crop is only around 700kg's.  We picked 3/4 of the block early. 100% of that portion was de-stemmed and received a very gentle maceration for 2 weeks. The remaining fruit was picked into an old hogshead with the head knocked out. That underwent nearly 3 weeks carbonic maceration. Bottled with zero S02 or any of that other shit.

How good is Alf though....
